Bhavya Nayna Channan

We are excited to welcome Bhavya Nayna Channan as Advancing Justice | Chicago’s new Director of Development! Bhavya will lead our dynamic development team, which is responsible for our fundraising initiatives, board development, and institutional giving strategy.  

Bhavya brings over a decade of experience in national and international fundraising. She has worked across not-for-profits in arts, human services, and education. Bhavya has spearheaded successful fundraising campaigns, consistently surpassing her goals. 

In her most recent role at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, she managed corporate sponsorships and major gift campaigns, demonstrating expertise in cultivating meaningful donor relationships. Her dedication to community empowerment began in India, where she participated in the Gandhi Fellowship, improving government schools and leading programs supporting women and children.  

Bhavya earned her undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the renowned Miranda House at the University of Delhi. In her spare time, Bhavya enjoys literature, hiking, and running on sunny days.
