Charlene B. Choi (she/her) is a second generation Korean American who grew up in Indiana and is now based in Chicago. Charlene is passionate about keeping connections to her culture alive, whether it’s through storytelling or community building. She worked for nearly six years at Hanul Family Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to serving Korean American older adults in the Chicagoland area. There, her roles included coordinating adult education, development, and community engagement programs. Now as a Development Manager at Advancing Justice | Chicago, Charlene is excited to continue her career in nonprofit development in Asian American spaces. In her down time, Charlene loves to collect prints, remember inconsequential movie trivia, and pet her fluffy cat Rosie.
